OAU FACULTY OF LAW AND OTHERS FACULITIES GETS FULL ACCREDITATION

According to the national universities commission (NUC) report, Faculty of Law,Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Science of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife have  been granted accreditation. These Faculties have been unable to grant admission to aspirants since 2018 because of the lack of accreditation.  The university has worked tiredlessly and it has finally paid off as the National Universities Commission (NUC), has given full accreditation to all the academic programmes being run by these faculties in OAU. However, programmes being run by other Faculties were also accredited by the NUC while all programmes at the Postgraduate level were also fully accredited. CATHOLIC CHURCH VOLUNTEERED 425 HOSPITALS AS ISOLATION CENTRES SAYS BOSS MUSTAPHA

By Akinyinka Omowunmi  Federal Government has announced that the Catholic Church in Nigeria has donated its 425 hospitals and clinics nationwide as isolation centers for coronavirus patients. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 made the announcement on Monday, adding that the increased cases of coronavirus across the country was due to the fact that testing capacity has been increased in the country. He further stated that Governors are encouraged to approach Catholic Bishops and Arch-Bishops in their States to access these facilities. Aside being a singer OBO has delved into music production and beat making as he expands his versatility. He would be a music producer on Peruzzi’s forthcoming song. At the moment Peruzzi is working on a new project titled ‘GAZA’ and one of the songs on the body of work was produced by Davido. Peruzzi shared the news with his fans on Twitter as he gave a snippet of what’s coming. The track produced by Davido is titled ‘Wavy’ and it is track 4 on the ‘GAZA’ project which drops in September.

A20-YEAR-OLD MOTHER SELLS HER NEW BORN BABY FOR N130,000

By Olaoye Olumide A 20-year-old mother arrested by the police for selling her newborn for N130,000 to suspected traffickers yesterday said the money she took was for her upkeep and that she gave the child away because it would have died of hunger in her care. The suspect identified as Miracle Kalu was trailed to Imo State by the police in Lagos after operatives on pin-down patrol on April 26 intercepted a couple with a month-old baby. Policemen attached to Anthony Division around 2am that day while manning a roadblock at Anthony Oke, intercepted a Toyota Sienna bus carrying seven passengers including one Patrick Mbama, 41, and Ogechi Chinonso Ekwebele, 30, carrying the baby. While all the occupants were held for violating the ban on inter-state travels, the police team discovered suspicious movements between the couple carrying the baby which prompted further probing.
