Angry Protesters Razes SARS Office in Iwo.

Angry youths of Iwo town, in Osun State of Nigeria, have set the office of the Special Anti Robbery squad,  housed in the premises of the  Police Area Command Office, on fire in the early hours of Friday 24th of August, 2018


The action of the angry youths came as a reaction to the alleged killing  of one Mr.  Babatunde Nafiu by operatives  of the disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad.


Babatunde is said to be a student of Osun  State Polytechnic,  Ire. He is also the son of a prominent politician in Iwo Land,  Alhaji Nafiu. 


According to an eye witness who pleaded anonymity, 'The SARS operatives claimed Babatunde was a yahoo boy. He was gunned down just for this reason.'


It was reported that the Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Adewale Akanbi,  went to the scene of the event to plead with the angry protesters, but his presence and appeals could not stop the angry protesters. 


As at the time of filling this report, the angry youths are still gathered around the premises of the police station.

Nigeria Celebrates 58th Independence Anniversary; Nigeria Still Under Servitude.

If truly Nigeria has gotten Independence, Why is she still in servitude? According to Merriam Webster Dictionary,  Independence is "the freedom from outside control or support". Independence is also seen as the time when a country or region gains political freedom from outside control.
