PRESIDENT BUHARI EXTENDS LOCKDOWN BY TWO WEEKS

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the ongoing lockdown over the COVID-19 by two weeks.

In a presidential broadcast on Monday evening, Buhari said: “It has become necessary to extend the current restriction of movement in Lagos and Ogun States as well as the FCT for another 14 days effective from 11:59 pm on Monday, 13th of April, 2020. I am therefore once again asking you all to work with Government in this fight.”


He added: “This is a difficult decision to take, but I am convinced that this is the right decision. The evidence is clear.”

NO CURFEW, EVERYTHING REMAINS INTACT IN LAGOS SAYS DR(MRS) JOKE SANWO-OLU

The wife of  Lagos State Governor, Dr( Mrs) Joke Sanwo-olu has taken to alert the general public contrary to misinformation  that curfew has not been announced in Lagos  State. She said "The state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu dropped the idea of imposing a curfew in the state meant to allow the fumigation exercise of public space." Relying on expert advice the Governor said the disinfectant is non toxic, noting that the exercise has commenced. He said: I'm pleased to note that we have taken possession of over 200 disinfecting machines, and starting today, we will be disinfecting all major highways, bus stops, markets, parks and other public areas."                              The demise of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who was said to have died    April 22, 2022 at Afe Babalola Multi-System Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, AMSH has thrown the Yoruba race into mourning. According to sources at the hospital, the king who was 83 years old was brought into the hospital and was been treated of a chronic illness five days before his death.
