Health In Our Lifestyles
It can be hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle on campus, speaking of the current health status of the nation which is as a result of the pandemic outbreak experience nationwide. This situation has generally place some certain restriction on things we do generally, and has also added cautiousness to how we handle our health both publicly and privately.
Aside from the known guidelines giving to maintain our health and keep us safe from getting infected with the widely spread virus, we also have other tips we should follow generally in maintaining our health. Some of these are discussed below
ACTIVITIES
Exercises can be fun, and there are many diverse activities for students on campus. Being able to book a football pitch or use the tennis court in campus gives you and your friends an informal environment to enjoy. The different sports venues and field present within the campus are all for you to make use of to your own advantages.
Exercise without realizing is always better for those who are more active, classes are provided so you can train with an experienced trainer on hand to help you through and improve your techniques and regime.
OTHER SUPPORTS
Your mental health is equally important as physical health, we have our part advisers to meet up with when it turns out you are having any form of difficulties in the academic related work, We also have different teams within the faculties who are always ready to help in anyway they can. With the presence of all these helps, the stress that is meant to be experienced at some certain point will be reduced to a bearable level health wisely.
FOOD AND DRINK
We all know that the importance of food is obvious and essential, healthy food provides us the nutrients and energy to develop and grow, be active, and healthy to move and play, work, thin and learn. On the contrary, they lead to health problems such as diabetes and heart diseases.
Hence as much as it does not sound easy to make proper meal every blessed day of the week, it advisable to at least eat a proper meal once in a day to maintain a very stable health that can sustain us through the stress encountered daily on campus.
To balance it up, let not forget that water is very essential to the body. The institute of Medicine (IOM) recommends that men drink at least 101 ounces of water per day. Which is a little under 13cups, while the women are to drink at least 74 ounces which is little over 9 cups of water.
