INTENTIONS

Education at the verge of induction
Sanctioning our brain to do the needful 
Though negligency not excluded
The strive to survival remains undeniable

Sailing through the sea of indecision 
Desperate choices are made
Amidst the wave of uncertainties
Flings of certainties equals invisible 

Still it the imperfections hoping on perfections
Combining all vibes of positivity
Aims at equal target became glaring
As intentions for induction becomes more of an assumption

The wife of  Lagos State Governor, Dr( Mrs) Joke Sanwo-olu has taken to alert the general public contrary to misinformation  that curfew has not been announced in Lagos  State. She said "The state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu dropped the idea of imposing a curfew in the state meant to allow the fumigation exercise of public space." Relying on expert advice the Governor said the disinfectant is non toxic, noting that the exercise has commenced. He said: I'm pleased to note that we have taken possession of over 200 disinfecting machines, and starting today, we will be disinfecting all major highways, bus stops, markets, parks and other public areas." The Governor also said during a live press conference that if there's a need for curfew, Government won't hesitate to impose it. For now, everything remains the way they are

Nigeria Celebrates 58th Independence Anniversary; Nigeria Still Under Servitude.

By YUSUFF Oladeji Afeez (SIR-USEFUL) Before I attempt to analyse the theme/topic of this piece, the questions we should pose in our minds are : What is Independence? Has Nigeria gotten Independence? If truly Nigeria has gotten Independence, Why is she still in servitude? According to Merriam Webster Dictionary,  Independence is "the freedom from outside control or support". Independence is also seen as the time when a country or region gains political freedom from outside control. In the process of providing a definition to the word, "Independence", I noticed a  keyword, present,  in the definitions of Independence, supplied earlier in this piece,  which is "FREEDOM". And according to me, "Freedom is knowing the right thing, and doing the right thing,  which is the only way to  liberate one's self (someone)  from slavery."
