OAU: Third Wave Of Covid-19

The office of the registrar, Obafemi Awolowo University released a circular on the 18th of July, 2021 about the third wave of covid-19 going on in the country. The University thereby advise all students and staffs of the school to adhere strictly to all covid-19 protocols by proper use of face mask, washing of hands, use of hand sanitizer, maintaining social distance. The University reacted to the situation and encourage staffs and students to obey all guidelines.

The wife of  Lagos State Governor, Dr( Mrs) Joke Sanwo-olu has taken to alert the general public contrary to misinformation  that curfew has not been announced in Lagos  State. She said "The state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu dropped the idea of imposing a curfew in the state meant to allow the fumigation exercise of public space." Relying on expert advice the Governor said the disinfectant is non toxic, noting that the exercise has commenced. He said: I'm pleased to note that we have taken possession of over 200 disinfecting machines, and starting today, we will be disinfecting all major highways, bus stops, markets, parks and other public areas." Nigeria Celebrates 58th Independence Anniversary; Nigeria Still Under Servitude.

If truly Nigeria has gotten Independence, Why is she still in servitude? According to Merriam Webster Dictionary,  Independence is "the freedom from outside control or support". Independence is also seen as the time when a country or region gains political freedom from outside control. In the process of providing a definition to the word, "Independence", I noticed a  keyword, present,  in the definitions of Independence, supplied earlier in this piece,  which is "FREEDOM".
