Science and Technology Education Students Association Launches Her Empowerment Scheme

*SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION STUDENTS ASSOCIATION, OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE - IFE (STESA-OAU)*

It is a thing of joy when we all do not depend on academic lives only, 📖 when we all do not rely on government jobs,👨‍🏫 or office work(s) 👩‍💻later in life. Its time for us to learn something different from mixing chemicals in the laboratory, ⚗ from solving theories propounded by some set of persons.👴🏿👴🏽 It is time to learn to be your own boss.

It is on this note that the executives of the above named association, present to her members the long awaited workshop, which promises to equip students on some professional vocational courses.

The training  workshop  is open to all members who have fulfilled their obligations to the association.

This is an opportunity to be an expert in one of the listed vocational professional courses:

👉 Decoration and Cake Baking 🎂🎂

👉 Graphic designs 🖥💻

👉 Photography 📷📸

👉 Fabrics and Embroidery(bag making) 👜👜

👉 Data Analysis 💻🖥

Also, in a bid to ensure that other students in the faculty of education and beyond enjoy this wonderful opportunity, STESA's executive council has decided to extend the participation for the workshop to other students other than STESites. However, non-STESites who would love to participate, are expected to pay the  sum of #1000 as registration fee; the fee would cover for the workshop trainings and certificates (Certification). Non-STESites who are willing to participate in the workshop should come to STESA's Secretariat for registration and enquiries.

The first training has been scheduled below:

📅 *Date:* Saturday 9th of June, 2018

🏠 *Venue:* EDB

⏰ *Time:* 12pm - 3pm

⚠ *The training workshop will hold three Saturdays in the month of June*

⚠ *Registration starts 4th of June, 2018 and ends 8th of June, 2018*

⚠ *Entrance ticket:* STESA annual due receipt (For STESites), Payment receipt(ticket) for non-STESites.

*PS:* You will be using your laptops for the Graphic designs and Data Analysis trainings. Interested persons to STESA's secretariat (located along NUESA's secretariat, in the faculty of education)  to register for the training workshop, where you would be able to identify your preferred areas of interest and choose your preferred vocational course.

If truly Nigeria has gotten Independence, Why is she still in servitude? According to Merriam Webster Dictionary,  Independence is "the freedom from outside control or support". Independence is also seen as the time when a country or region gains political freedom from outside control. In the process of providing a definition to the word, "Independence", I noticed a  keyword, present,  in the definitions of Independence, supplied earlier in this piece,  which is "FREEDOM".
