HAPPY MATRICULATION TO SCIENTIFIC FRESH MINDS

_"Who you are tomorrow begins with what you do today"._ Tim Fargo

You are matriculated today to confirm  validate, or affirm your studentships as admitted students of this Great citadel of learning(Great Ife), and as students of department of the Science And Technology Education(STE).

The question that  burns in  my heart when I see people  wear the  matriculation gown is, "Do you want to be a successful student or  just a  student who gets admitted into the university?"

If you are to become a  successful student, what are the steps to take in achieving that?
You must first identify the main purpose of your being here, and also have it mind that the privilege (the privilege of being admitted as a student) that you have, is one that most people pray and work to have, but not most people have it. Please do well in  class  and also abide by the rules of the university; In the same vein, don't engage  in activities that will hinder your primary aim(s) of being here.

I pray that as you get your names registered officially in the schools register today, you all will convocate after successfully completing your course (s) of study.
I pray that as you matriculate today, to validate your studentship, you all will  convocate as  successful students of this university.
Once again I wish you, "A happy matriculation Ceremony and success in all your academic endeavor".

Kind regards:

YUSUFF Oladeji Afeez
President, STESA OAU.
