AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE NEWLY ELECTED SPEAKER OF PHARMACEUTICAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA SOCIETY STUDENTS (PANS)OAU CHAPTER

Rt.Hon. Samuel Sola Michael, popularly known as Honourable Samora, recently was elected as the Speaker of the parliamentary arm of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS-OAU). The Lens News Agency met with him of recent.  And in this exclusive interview with the Lens News Agency, he made mention of building a vibrant parliament with Parliamentarians, fulfilling his constitutional duties, rallying the support of the Alumni body of the Parliamentary arm, and lots more. He also gave advice to the younger ones who also have interest in politics.

TLNA: Hello

SAMORA: Hello

TLNA: Can we meet you sir?

SAMORA: My name is Samuel Sola Micheal, also referred to as Hon.Samora

TLNA: Congratulations on your new post as the newly elected speaker, sir.

SAMORA: Thanks

TLNA: How do you feel being the speaker, sir ?

SAMORA: I'm very much elated to have gotten the chance to serve in capacity as the speaker of PANS OAU chapter.

TLNA: How was the electioneering process like?

SAMORA: It was a credible process, kudos should be given to the electoral committee, who performed a wonderful job ,from the main election to the bye-election and the parliament in-house election; they did wonderfully well.

TLNA: Sir,what is the name of the co-aspirant for the post?

SAMORA: Honourable Olufemi Deborah, from part 5 constituency. She is a wonderful lady who I admire and I believe if she had won, would serve maximally.

TLNA: Sir, In what way or ways do you intend to serve PANS OAU chapter as the speaker of the house?

SAMORA: With the support of the house and PANS stakeholders backing me, I want to build a vibrant parliament with parliamentarians who understand the constitutional prerogatives and can fully represent the interests of their respective constituencies, and one way to achieve this is organising a pre-sitting parliamentary tutelage for the house.

Secondly,I plan on fulfilling my constitutional duties as speaker and work synergistically with the executives in achieving their constitutional duties.
I plan on rallying the support of the parliamenary arm alumni, to contribute in various ways to the Parliament.There are lot more to come, the journey has just begun.

TLNA: On a final note sir,what advice do you have for the younger ones who also has interest in politics?

SAMORA:The driving force for participating in politics should be service to the people and making of impact, although the road is rough but you can still create a path and make meaningful differences that will transform this nation.
