The health benefits of coconut water

Image
The resulting water becomes completely pure and sterile, and this is one of the reasons why it can be used for blood transfusions. From the oil to the milk, coupled with its skin and water, each component of coconut has its own miraculous health benefits. And when combined together, there's no doubting the fact that they can become lifesaving. According to scientific studies, coconut is a natural water filter which takes almost nine months to filter every quart of water stored within its shell. Owing to this, the resulting water becomes completely pure and sterile, and this is one of the reasons why it can be used for blood transfusions. It is also important to note that coconut water has the highest concentration of electrolytes than anything else found in nature. Electrolytes, on the other hand, are responsible for keeping the body properly hydrated so the muscles and nerves can function appropriately. With this in mind, it is safe to state that it is more beneficial ...

Chelsea icon Drogba hails Romelu Lukaku’s impact against Arsenal

Image
Romelu Lukaku scored a goal on his second debut for Chelsea as the Blues' new big money import blitzed London rivals Arsenal with an all-action performance in a 2-0 win, and Didier Drobga was more than impressed in what he saw. It may have taken a while but a decade after he first joined the club, Belgian star Lukaku finally has his first goal for Chelsea. Of course, much (or most) of those intervening years were spent with the likes of West Brom, Everton, Manchester United and Inter Milan but just moments into his first appearance for Thomas Tuchel's European champions, it looked as though he had never left. If previous iterations of the powerful Lukaku minimized his talents into just that of an aggressive, brutish center forward who relies more on brawn than brain, well, think again. Lukaku has returned to England as a 'complete' striker, capable of bullying and harassing opponents but also a more intelligent playmaker, aware of when to fill gaps or when t...

Arsenal appear a club lacking in every department in capitulation to Chelsea

Image
Mikel Arteta’s side made basic errors in a predictable 2-0 defeat but it is the culture behind the scenes that is the real concern Arsenal fans: honestly, what did you think was going to happen? Probably, in fairness, exactly that. Indeed, had you simulated this game several thousand times in advance, “an easy 2-0 milking for Chelsea with Romelu Lukaku running riot” would probably have been among the more common outcomes. All the same, there was a startling quality to the way Arsenal lost here. Not simply the speed of their capitulation but the sheer stupidity of it, the bone-headed determination to keep making the same elementary mistakes, the way the 11 on the pitch were pretty much the only people in the stadium unable to see what was coming. Romelu Lukaku opens the scoring for Chelsea from close range with Bernd Leno sprawling in vain The first point to make is that Chelsea did to Arsenal what they are going to do to a lot of teams this season. Of the four apparent titl...

Smith happy to attract new admirers

Image
Hull KR coach Tony Smith admits that he is pleased to see that his club’s reputation for playing attractive rugby is drawing plenty of new admirers. After the Robins’ victory over Wigan a week last Friday, which they achieved by playing an attractive brand of attacking rugby, with numerous passing movements from inside their own half, couple with an expansive offloading game, there were plenty of admiring comments made on social media, with League Express editor Martyn Sadler posting on Twitter: “Can anyone seriously argue with the fact that Hull KR are the most attractive team to watch in Super League?” That post was liked and agreed with by several hundred other posters. “We are just glad that people are enjoying watching us,” said Smith, whose side narrowly lost 23-22 to their close rivals Hull FC in a thrilling Hull derby on Saturday afternoon. “But it’s not true to say that we are concentrating only on our attack. I want a really strong defence too. “The stronger our d...

National security adviser: U.S. taking terrorism threat at Kabul airport 'deadly seriously'

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN's Brianna Keilar on Sunday's edition of State of the Union that the United States is taking the threat of a possible terrorist attack at Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport "absolutely, deadly seriously" amid the chaotic evacuation process. There have been unsubstantiated reports that the Islamic State, which has continued to operate in Afghanistan in recent years, is looking to take advantage of the situation. Sullivan shed a little more light on the possibility (though he didn't reveal any specifics), telling Keilar that the threat is "real," "persistent," and remains a major area of a focus for both the military commanders on the ground at the airport and the U.S. intelligence community. "It is something that we are placing paramount priority on stopping and disrupting," he said. "We will do everything that we can for as long as we are on the ground to keep that from ...

I won't resign: Gov. Masari replies Coalition of Northern Groups

Image
Aminu Masari, the governor of Katsina has told the the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) that he won't succumb any intimidation. Masari stated this on Sunday after the coalition called for his resignation. The CNG called for Masari’s resignation after the governor told the residents of the state who have been at the receiving end of attacks by bandits to rise above meekness. Masari, speaking during a visit to Jibia LGA, also told the residents to defend themselves against bandits who come with guns and other dangerous weapons. However, CNG said Masari’s call was an admission that he was not in charge of the state and had failed in his constitutional responsibility of providing security for its citizens, hence, he should resign. But the governor responded that he is not the first governor to ask residents to defend themselves against attackers. He added that the call for his resignation is a “sheer lack of understanding” of the situation in the country. The governor, vi...

Corset Tops to Wear This Season

Image
Corset tops—long associated with Renaissance Faires, period films and prim Victorian fashions—are suddenly on the way to becoming the stand-out staple of this season’s wardrobe. Who would’ve thought that what was once considered an outdated, constrictive garment would be reclaimed as an article of self-expression for all genders? Our top picks for this fall implement classical details that have been remixed with contemporary touches: Vivienne Westwood added a functional zipper to hers, while LaQuan Smith’s dominatrix-esque take comes in a glossy red faux leather. For a combination of comfort and vintage flare, Molly Goddard presents a ruffled, shirred version. There’s even a particularly cheeky one for the dog lover: A cropped off-white version by Ashley Williams features a cotton-candy-colored poodle portrait, front and center. Paired any of these with loose, low-rise jeans or straight-leg leather trousers for a party-ready look with just the right amount of edge. Here, ou...

Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James pull out ‘disrespect’ card once again

Image
Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James is considered by many to be one of the top-five players in NBA history. Heck, James was anointed the next “King” during his high-school playing days. Fast forward nearly two decades, and all of this hype has come to fruition. LeBron James has won four NBA titles, is among the leading scorers in league history and continues to play at an extremely high level at the age of 36. Despite this, James continues to believe he’s being disrespected around the NBA world. Here’s case study No. 1,450,321. James responded to an ESPN online poll in which he did not receive one vote as the NBA’s best player. In typical LeBron fashion, he’s deciding to use the “disrespect” as motivation. This is a real thing in 2021. THANK YOU! As if I didn’t need more to⛽️ ME! #Washed👑 — LeBron James (@KingJames) August 19, 2021 It wa...

Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz fuel dating rumors with NYC bike ride

Image
Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz may have dispelled dating rumors in the past, but they appeared very much coupled up during a recent sighting in New York City. The duo were spotted going for a stroll together Wednesday in the East Village and appeared to be enjoying each other’s company as they shared a few laughs. The “Magic Mike” star was photographed steering a black BMX bike, while the “High Fidelity” alum wrapped her arms around him and rode on the bike’s pegs. The actors were dressed down in casual attire, both wearing denim pants and black shirts. Kravitz accessorized her look with a large green bag and black sunnies. In January, rumors began circulating online that Tatum and Kravitz were an item — just days after the “Big Little Lies” actress filed for divorce from her husband, Karl Glusman. Tatum has been back on the market himself for some time. In October 2020, his on-again, off-again girlfriend Jessie J confirmed they were broken up, writing in a now-deleted post...
