JCI-OAU ORGANISES TREE TRAINING TO REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT
A press conference was held with the Junior Chamber international (JCI) on Sunday 22nd of August, 2021. At the conference ACJ-OAU was able to speak with Promise Issac, the President of JCI-OAU,a final year student in the department of Psychology.
In a conversation with him,, he informed ACJ that the purpose of the forth coming Training Retreat which has been and still being publicized through Broadcasting daily by 8pm is to reduce Unemployment and at the same time achieve Excellence.
The training theme is "Collaboration as a sustainable tool in the new age drift".The training is a 3-days programme starting from the 25th of August,2021.The first day at Eden Springhill,New Buka while the second and third day at CSIS Ifelodun, Banking Area.
Giving more clarification on the retreat, He made it known that the Training has started three years back as a results of giving to the society and the students' community.
In his statement he said;
“The reason we started the training is because one of our creed which says ‘service to humanity is the best work of life’ and most of our members work actively to support the society with our projects and training, the best way to give them back is to have a training that gives them a working edge beyond four walls of the class which has started three years ago.
The training is also a form of publicity to make people know more about JCI and the values embedded in it.The current training is the edge 3.0"
Giving out his number during the interview, he said "The training is open to all and no exception as the training is also free compare to the past ones which have always been with a price.
According to the president of JCI-OAU , the Venues allocated for the training are all within OAU Campus and Five(5) Speakers will be participating in the retreat.
There are also plans made already for the participants after the training.
