Chelsea draws with Juventus, Barcelona to face Bayern Munich in the UCL draw

The 2021/2022 Uefa Champions League draw was held at Istanbul in Turkey on the 26th of August, 2021 by 17:00, local time.

With restrictions that teams from the same association could not be drawn against each other. The 32 teams were drawn into eight groups of four, i.e, the teams were seeded into four pots based on the following principles;
Pot 1 contained the Champions League and Europa League title holders, and the champions of the top six associations based on their 2019 UEFA country coefficients. As the Champions League title holders, Bayern Munich, were also the champions of their association, the champions of the next highest ranked association, Portugal, were also seeded into Pot 1.
Pots 2, 3 and 4 contained the remaining teams, seeded based on their 2020 UEFA club coefficients.
Pot 1 consists of holders Chelsea, UEFA Europa League winners Villarreal and the champions of the six highest-ranked nations who did not qualify via one of the 2020/21 titles; Pots 2 to 4 were determined by the club coefficient rankings.

To ensure that paired clubs from the same country play on separate days where possible, the eight groups will be distinguished by colour: Groups A to D will be red and Groups E to H will be blue. When a paired club is drawn, for example, in one of the red groups (A, B, C or D), the other paired club, once it has been drawn will automatically be assigned to one of the four blue groups (E, F, G or H). The pairings are as follows:
A Chelsea & Manchester City
B Atlético de Madrid & Sevilla
C Inter & Juventus
D Bayern & Dortmund
E LOSC Lille & Paris Saint-Germain
F Real Madrid & Barcelona
G Man. United & Liverpool
H Porto & Benfica
I Shakhtar & Dynamo Kyiv
J Leipzig & Wolfsburg
K Atalanta & AC Milan
On each matchday, one set of four groups played their matches on Tuesday, while the other set of four groups played their matches on Wednesday, with the two sets of groups alternating between each matchday. The fixtures were decided after the draw, with the following match sequence.
The Blue legends, Michael Essien and Branislav Ivanovich were present to take in the draw. When asked how they felt about their former club last season performance, here is what they said;
Ivanović: "I was really impressed with how Chelsea won the trophy. After a long period of time, Chelsea deserved the trophy again."
Essien: "I believe they [Chelsea] can do back-to-back wins for the club. It would be a very big achievement but they have a big squad, and with Lukaku back they are well prepared."
The defending champion, Chelsea was grouped with Juventus, Zenit, Malmö, Uefa Europa league champion, Villarreal paired with Manchester United, Atalanta, Young Boys.

The result of the draw goes as follows:
Group A: Man. City, Paris, Leipzig, Club Brugge.
Group B: Atlético, Liverpool, Porto, Milan.
Group C: Sporting CP, Dortmund, Ajax, Beşiktaş.
Group D: Inter, Real Madrid, Shakhtar, Sheriff Tiraspol.
Group E: Bayern, Barcelona, Benfica, Dynamo Kyiv
Group F: Villarreal, Man. United, Atalanta, Young Boys.
Group G: LOSC, Sevilla, Salzburg, Wolfsburg.
Group H: Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit, Malmö
