JAMB Directs Candidates to begin Printing of Exam Slip

The directive was contained in a statement released in Abuja by Fabian Benjamin, the head of public affairs and protocol. He noted that the printing of slip for candidates who registered for the JAMB examination will span from Friday, 6th May to 14th of May. “Printing of examination slip is necessary for all candidates as it enables them to know the venue, date, session and time of their examination.” “All candidates are advised to print slips on time so as to know the location of their examination centers.                              The demise of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who was said to have died    April 22, 2022 at Afe Babalola Multi-System Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, AMSH has thrown the Yoruba race into mourning. According to sources at the hospital, the king who was 83 years old was brought into the hospital and was been treated of a chronic illness five days before his death. Though at some point in time of the news being spread, there was confusion over the validity of the news on social media as a result of the statement made by the king’s Media and Publicity Director, Bode Durojaye where he urged members of the public to disregard the news of the king’s death saying the paramount ruler is hale and healthy. Nigerians React As Lagos State Government Reopened Chrisland School

  After the shutting down of Chrisland School by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on April 18 2022, as a result of the video of students involve in sexual activities in Dubai that went viral, the government of Lagos state has reopened the school with the intention of not hindering other students who are not affected by the incident from receiving their education. According to a statement made by the Lagos state Commissioner Of Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo   explained that the reopening of the school was to make sure that other students are not deprived the access to learning while investigation is going on with the case. It is no longer a news that the great Ife students were not totally affected by the national ASUU strike due to division of the school system which is the CONUA (Congress University Academics) and ASUU (Academic Staff Union Of Universities part) A good number of students especially those that falls under faculty of science have been receiving lectures and has even gone as far completing their test for the semester while some students are yet to receive any class for the semester at all.   Day 2 of the Fresher’s orientation week started with an opening prayer, in which the national anthem and the school anthem follow respectively. The programme which was a courtesy of the office of the vice-president student union was an interfaculty Pick and Talk/debate which took place at Oduduwa hall. Following the opening of speech was the introduction of all faculty leaders and students union after which all faculties were introduced to the audience.                              US   First Pig to human heart transplant       Few days after groundbreaking transplant surgery, David Bennett, 57, is doing well after receiving a genetically modified pig heart, University of Maryland Medicine said in a news release on Monday.        Mr Bennett had terminal heart disease, and the pig heart was “the only currently available option,” according to the release, CNN reports.       He was deemed ineligible for a conventional heart transplant or an artificial heart pump after reviews of his medical records.     “It was either die or do this transplant. ASSU OAU: No amount of threats or directives by the administration will derail our struggle

              The Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) OAU branch declared a strike on the 31st of January 2022, as a result of failure of the present administration led by the vice chancellor Prof. Eyitpope Ogunbodede in payment of the EAA to deserving members even after several meetings that has been held with ASUU executives.  The union has claimed an attempt to be blackmailed by the administration while they resolve their decision to go on strike while the administration claimed  the union was not ready to subject their computation for verification as well as other propaganda.  The union however revealed that the first place they will hear such claims is via the social media and afterward have since submitted all documents necessary for the verification process but the VC has done nothing on it.   “It was shocking that the first place we encountered the word 'verification' was on social media as reported by a name nev...
